Skin cancer

As one the most common forms of cancer, skin cancers generally present themselves as basal or squamous cell carcinomas, or melanoma.

These can sometimes develop spontaneously, or over time pre-existing lesions can develop more sinister features (often as a result of sun damage) such as; an increase in size, change in colour, bleeding, ulceration etc. If you have noticed any of these changes, it is always recommended that you seek a specialist opinion. After initial examination, a biopsy of the lesion or total excision is required so that a diagnosis can be made.
