Botox is a popular choice for those wishing to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
With the natural ageing process, our faces show the effects of time. Botox (botulinum toxin) injections act as a muscle relaxant and blocks the nerve impulses that cause muscle contraction. After a couple of weeks of receiving treatment, the Botox will take full effect and will reduce the visibility of the wrinkles, to give a more youthful appearance.
+ What will happen during my treatment?
Botox injections are carried out in clinic, normally at the same time as your initial consultation.
The treatment takes approx. 15 minutes and you can resume normal activity afterwards.
The most common areas treated with Botox are the frown lines, vertical lines across the forehead and crow’s feet in the outer corner of the eyes.
There is no need to return after the treatment for a check-up, unless you have any questions or concerns.
