SPLIT EARLOBE REPAIR

Long-term use of heavy earrings, or when an earring is accidentally pulled, result in one or both earlobes splitting. The procedure to correct this is relatively straightforward.

+ What will happen during my treatment?

Procedures to the ear lobes are carried out under local anaesthetic and lasts approx. 20-30mins.

Where the earlobe has fully split, the procedure to correct this involves the two split edges of the lobe being stitched back together. These will need removing one week later. It is usually possible to have the ear re-pierced once the repair has fully healed.

Following the surgery, you will be required to come back to clinic after one week for a dressing removal or change, and a check up to ensure everything is settling.
