TATTOO REMOVAL

Small tattoos can be surgically removed and the wound directly closed (just like if it were a mole) . A scalpel is used to cut around the circumference of the tattoo and the wound then sutured, to leave a fine line in its place. Smaller tattoos are almost always removed under local anaesthetic.

+ What will happen during my treatment?

The length of time in theatre required to remove a tattoo can vary depending on its size, however a guide would be 20-30 minutes. You will be able to go home up to an hour after your procedure.

Following the surgery, you will be required to come back to clinic after one week for a dressing removal or change, and a check up to ensure everything is settling.
